                             Head-teacher’s Welcome Message

Sister Matilda - Headteacher S.D.S Tosamaganga SecondarySister Matilda - Headteacher S.D.S Tosamaganga SecondaryWelcome to St Dominic Savio Tosamaganga Secondary School.  As part of an ongoing project to modernize the way in which we communicate with the outside world, we are in the process of redeveloping our website to provide an easier, more informed user experience.  Please be patient with us whilst we update the pages over the next several months.

Our School is an outstanding community-focused, inclusive comprehensive school, where students are nurtured educationally, emotionally and socially.

It is my privilege to be Headteacher of this unique school, where, with the help of a highly qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff, we consistently transform the lives of the young people, who come to us from our diverse local and wider community, providing them with the necessary skills to go on to realize their potential in an increasingly competitive world.

environment to improve the outcome for our students.  We are also proud of the many fantastic student achievements, whether these are academic, sporting,

artistic, or personal.  Many of our students gain entry into the top universities in the country and go on to enjoy successful careers in every walk of life.  We know that each child is different, but we also know that each child deserves success.  Our pupils are happy here because they feel inspired, busy, helped and challenged, but, above all, because they are made to feel successful.  But don’t just take my word for it.  Step inside our doors and see for yourself!

For a school first opened in 2019, we remain passionately committed to moving with the times.  Our vibrant, dynamic and exceptional school community is ideally placed to meet the challenges and opportunities of the 21st Century on a global footing, whether that is via our extensive array of languages, our leading edge ICT suites and technological learning systems, our newly refurbished and modernized sports centre and grounds or our extensive programme of events, which develop our students’ creativity and employability skills, and prepare them for life after school as happy, well balanced and successful global citizens.

We have an excellent ethos and record in inclusion.  Educational inclusion is about equal opportunities for all pupils, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, attainment and background.  An educationally inclusive school is one in which the teaching and learning, achievements, attitudes and well-being of every young person matters.  We are what we say:  a happy, family-oriented, community-focused school, founded on caring relationships with every child.  Like every positive school, we have clear policies and systems.  Whilst good behavior is the norm, we recognize it’s a also important to have fun and we believe we do this well.

Our goal is simply to enable all our students to develop the knowledge, skills and character to follow the career path of their choice.  Together with our dedicated teaching staff and the unfailing support of the wider community, parents, carers and guardians, we will harness your child’s individual strengths to help them to flourish and develop into a creative, confident and caring citizen, who is excited about learning and eager to make their mark on the world.
